These are the kind of gag cartoons I'll doodle in my sketchbook, which probably goes a long way to explaining why I could never be a gag cartoonist. Most of these are pretty old, and were printed in my old zine, Papercut.
The first one cracks me up but in a sad way! My favourite is the third one, it resonates with me quite a bit -- I love your texture and stark contrast, and the touch of colour works so nicely. But especially the tone and message -- we all want to be free within ourselves.

I love the "humor" AND the rendering here....(both inks and color choices)
Someday I want to be able to thumb through one of your sketchbooks....I'd consider these "finished" pieces in my book! :)
Thanks, buddy. Glad you liked them -- my sense of humour can be a bit fatalistic at times. I must just be a depressive kinda guy...

Great stuff! I can't help but think what great greeting cards these would make. :)
Thanks, you two. I know I have a bit of a depressive sense of humour -- if such a thing isn't an oximoron! Glad you liked the gags, though.
I've never thought of making them into greeting cards, but that's a nice thought...
I LOVE these! Wow, really really great.
Ha! Thanks, breadwig -- I'm a fan of your gags too.
